NEAVE TWP. — A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured Saturday when he went off the road on a curve and flipped several times.
According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Jacob A. Walker, 20, of Greenville, was involved in a pursuit and traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour south on Ohio 121 north of Hollansburg-Sampson Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the right side of the road into the ditch and flipped several times.
Walker was transported by Tri-Village Rescue to Wayne HealthCare for non-incapacitating injuries. According to the crash report, he was not wearing a helmet.
Passenger Christopher Matthew Griffith, 19, of Arcanum, also was ejected from the bike and was transported for possible injuries. The report indicated he was not wearing a helmet either.
The motorcycle, a 1997 Honda Valkyrie, was heavily damaged in the crash.
