Men injured in truck-ATV accident

PALESTINE – The Darke County Sheriff’s Ofice said alcohol was suspected as the cause of a crash Saturday night when a Greenville man in a pickup truck hit two four-wheel ATVs.

At 10:09 p.m. Darke County deputies along with Liberty Township Fire Deptment and Tri Village Rescue were dispatched to 165 S. Main St. in the Village of Palestine reference to the three-vehicle, injury crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2000 Ford F250, driven by Jeremy Stahl, 31, of Greenville, was traveling southbound of S. Main St. when it struck two, four-wheel ATVs, which were traveling southbound on S. Main St.

Stahl’s truck also struck a utility pole and came to rest on its side in a corn field. He was the lone occupant in the truck.

The operators of the ATVs were Jim Reynolds, 42, of Palestine and his son Dustin Reynolds, 18, of Palestine. Jim refused treatment at the scene. Dustin and Stahl were transported to Wayne HealthCare by Tri Village Rescue.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
