Shaiann Livingston finalist in Ohio Homecoming Queen pageant

UNION CITY, Ohio — Shaiann Livingston, daughter of Lea Ann Harris and Shane Livingston of Union City, has been selected finalist for Ohio’s 37th annual Homecoming Queen Selection to be held April 23 at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati North-West Chester in West Chester, Ohio.

She is the Mississinawa Valley High School Homecoming Queen.

Ohio’s 2017 Homecoming Queen will receive a cash scholarship plus an all-expense paid trip to the national finals to compete with the queens from the other states for America’s Homecoming Queen.

It was noted that Ohio’s Homecoming Queen is not a beauty pageant. It is more like an ambassadorship. The winner will represent Ohio at the national selection.

Livingston will also be competing for Ohio’s favorite homecoming queen. She can be voted for her Ohio’s favorite homecoming queen at www.americashomecomingqueen.com.

Among the Ohio State Homecoming Queens in the past 36 years were Teresa Dohme in 1997 and Grace Anne Livingston in 2016. Both were homecoming queens also from MIssissinawa Valley High School.

America’s Homecoming Queen Inc. is a non-profit organization promoting education, educational travel, and community service in all 50 states.

The national finals will be held in July. This year’s title-holder is Sylandi Simone Brownof Hawkinsville High School in Georgia.
