DARKE COUNTY — On Thursday, the Great Darke County Fair will be holding elections for three seats on the fair’s Board of Directors of the Darke County Agricultural Society.
The vote begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Casting a ballot is restricted to fair members 18 years of age and older.
Voting will take place at the Darke County Sheriff’s/Red Cross building, just north of the Grandstand. There will be a tent and signs outside the building to direct voters there.
There are three board seats up for grabs this year. Running are current board members Matt Aultman, Brian Rismiller and Jim Zumbrink. A fourth candidate, Jerry Bunch, is also vying for a seat.
Results of the election will be announced over the fair’s loudspeaker once votes are tallied.
Board officers will be chosen at the board’s October meeting, and will take their seats beginning at the November meeting.
The board meets every month on the first Wednesday in the board room in the office under the grandstand. Meetings are open to the public.
