GREENVILLE – Bear’s Mill will celebrate its annual Fall Open House from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14.
The new timber framed covered bridge recently built by volunteers will be dedicated to veterans on Oct. 13. The Vietnam memorial that sits on the Bear’s Mill property next to the new bridge will be rededicated for the war’s 50th anniversary this year.
Terry Clark, the miller and Vietnam veteran at Historic Bear’s Mill, is asking all 6,000 Darke County veterans to attend the fall open house at noon Oct. 13 for a group photo in front of the mill. The Veterans Memorial Bridge will be dedicated at 2 p.m. He hopes the community will show up to support Historic Bear’s Mill and the nation’s veterans.
Historic Bear’s Mill is located at 6450 Arcanum Bears Mill Road, Greenville.
