Driver injured in 3-car accident

GREENVILLE – A driver was injured in an accident Tuesday involving a three-car chain reaction.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel from Greenville Township Fire and Rescue as well as deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 118 and Childrens Home Bradford Road to an accident with injuries.

According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Department, a gray Ford Escape was traveling westbound on Childrens Home Bradford Road when it failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic and struck a maroon Ford Fusion traveling southbound on State Route 118.

Due to the collision, the vehicle traveled on, making contact yet again with a white Honda Ridgeline traveling eastbound, and stopped at the stop sign on Childrens Home Bradford Road before coming to rest alongside the roadway.

The female drivers of both the Ford Escape and the Honda Ridgeline refused treatment on the scene. The female driver of the Ford Fusion was treated on the scene and transported to Wayne Healthcare by Greenville Township Rescue for unknown injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Department.
