Evangelism conference coming to Greenville

GREENVILLE – The Greenville Church of the Brethren, 421 Central Ave., is hosting a two-day conference, Kingdom Building: An Evangelism Conference, on Nov. 9 and 10.

The presenter is Rev. Paul Mundey from Frederick, Maryland. Mundey has been a pastor, church administrator, writer, speaker, workshop leader, consultant and teacher for more than 40 years.

He currently is moderator-elect of the Church of the Brethren denomination. In June 2016, Mundey completed a 20-year tenure at the largest American congregation – Frederick Church of the Brethren in Frederick, Maryland. During the 13 years before his pastorate at Frederick, Mundey was a staff member for the national ministry of the Church of the Brethren, serving as director of evangelism and congregational growth, and staff for Korean ministry.

Mundey earned an Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He also has studied at Rutgers University, the University of Illinois at Chicago and Johns Hopkins University.

The conference is open to both church leaders and lay persons. Registration is $20 and includes lunch Nov. 10.

The first session is at 3 p.m. Nov. 9. A second session starts at 7 p.m. The conference continues at 9 a.m. Nov. 10 and concludes at 3 p.m. Childcare is available.
