GREENVILLE – Darke County Center for the Arts recognized Second National Bank as an Impresario sponsor of the 2018-19 Celebrating 40 Years season, including the upcoming special event “The Texas Tenors in Deep in the Heart of Christmas.”

The award-winning trio, a top four finalist in the fourth season of “America’s Got Talent” and the highest ranking vocal group in the entire history of the show, combine country, classical and pop influences in their highly popular performances, which attract enthusiastic crowds around the nation. Their popularity is reflected locally as only a few single tickets remain for this special event. The show will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville.

Second National Bank also supports DCCA’s Irish Wave FUNdraiser and Family Theatre Series, which benefit Darke County youth and their families.

“Second National Bank’s sponsorship provides a variety of opportunities for all members of the community to learn and grow through participating in the arts,“ DCCA Executive Director Andrea Jordan said. “DCCA appreciates SNB’s commitment to the community through supporting events that help make Darke County a great place to live.”

DCCA’s Family Theatre Series was inaugurated in 1997, presenting three shows each season. The goal of the series is to inspire the imaginations of the young and young at heart and encourage the expression of creativity.

Productions in the 2018-19 season include the recent comedic juggling performance of “Playing By Air” on Nov. 18; Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s glowing production of “Rainbow Fish,” based on the classic children’s book, on Feb. 10; and on April 7 “Underneath a Magical Moon” from Tutti Fruitti Productions, a re-imagining of the Peter Pan tale as it would be told by Wendy. General admission tickets for each of the Family Theatre presentations cost $5.

DCCA’s Irish Wave FUNdraiser celebrates the rich traditions of the Emerald Isle. Guests can escape to an evening of unique Irish fare and craft beers for the tasting, featuring music by returning favorite Lone Raven, on March 15 at the Montage.

Tickets are on sale for all upcoming DCCA events. To purchase tickets and for more information on DCCA and the 2018-19 Celebrating 40 Years season, visit its website at DarkeCountyArts.org or contact the DCCA office at 937-547-0908.
