ASHLAND – Madison Young of Ansonia is a member of the American Chemical Society at Ashland University.

Young, a 2016 graduate of Ansonia High School, is majoring in nursing.

The purpose of the American Chemical Society is to enhance professional development though guest speakers, judging science fairs and mentoring programs on science topics. The ACS is open to all undergraduates who are interested in chemical sciences.

Ashland University, ranked in the top tier of colleges and universities in U.S. News and World Report’s National Universities category for 2018, is a mid-sized, comprehensive private university conveniently located a short distance from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus. It is religiously affiliated with the Brethren Church.
