Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities plans renovations

DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities intends to contract for engineering services in connection with training center renovations.

This project includes renovations to improve an approximately 7,270 square foot facility currently operated as an assembly workshop into a training center. The project will entail shell, floor and ceiling renovations, new windows and doors, interior finishes, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and sprinkler upgrades, audio/visual installations, kitchenette area and related items to make the training center complete.

Services will include design, permitting, bidding and construction administration services. Anticipated engineering design timeframe is March 2019 through May 2019 for design and permitting, May 2019 through June 2019 for procurement and June 2019 through December 2019 for construction completion. All work must be completed no later than Dec. 31, 2019.

Professional engineering services will be required for design, the bidding process, grant administration and construction engineering services. The engineering firm shall demonstrate experience with similarly type projects as well as working with the Ohio Development Services Agency and the Miami County Building Department.

Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm’s history, education and experience of owners and key technical personnel, the technical expertise of the firm’s current staff, the firm’s experience in designing similar projects, availability of staff, the firm’s equipment and facilities, professional references and any other work performed for the Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities or Darke County.

Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide the required services described above should send or deliver three sets of statements of qualifications to the Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 5844 Jaysville-St. Johns Road, Greenville, OH 45331 no later than March 8.
