COLUMBUS, Ohio —The television newsmagazine 60 Minutes will be airing a segment this Sunday profiling the heroin epidemic in Ohio.

Titled “Heroin in the Heartland,” the segment will feature interviews with Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, persons recovering from addiction, and others with perspectives on the heroin crisis.

“This is the worst drug epidemic I’ve seen in my lifetime,” Attorney General DeWine told 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whittaker. “Anybody watching today, this show— it could be your family. There’s no typical person. It just has permeated every segment of society in Ohio.”

The segment will appear on 60 Minutes on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. on CBS. Attorney General DeWine is also scheduled to appear on CBS This Morning on Monday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 a.m. for a follow-up interview on the 60 minutes segment.

A preview of the segment can be found on the 60 Minutes website.
