GREENVILLE – The Greenville Senior High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) will be hosting its third annual kickball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Girls Softball Fields on State Route 49. There will be Navy, Army and Marine Corps JROTC Units attending the tournament with units from Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Dayton, and the Green Wave Navy Cadets.

The public is invited to attend and show support for the Green Wave Navy Cadets and enjoy seeing the camaraderie and sportsmanship that JROTC Programs instill in high school students. Admission is free and there will be items for sale for snacks and lunch. All of the proceeds from the tournament will go into the NJROTC Booster account to help support the activities in which the Green Wave Navy participates.

The opening ceremony begins at 7:30 a.m. with all teams on the field in unit formation for the presentation of the Colors. The first games start at 8 a.m.

The tournament is being sponsored by Ansonia American Legion Post 353.
