DARKE COUNTY – Gov. John Kasich ordered all United States and Ohio flags be lowered to half-staff from Nov. 15 – 19 in honor of the lives lost in the terrorist attacks in Paris, France.

His order reads as follows:

“In honor of the lives lost in the terrorist attacks perpetrated on November 13, 2015 in Paris, France, and in accordance with orders from the President of the United States of America, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public building and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, Thursday, November 19, 2015.”
