GREENVILLE — Police are asking the public for help identifying the suspect in a recent assault reported at Walmart.
A woman was standing in line at the customer service counter at Walmart Nov. 13 about 1:10 p.m. when the woman in line behind her bumped into her with a grocery cart, hard enough to cause her knees to buckle, according to the police report.
The victim turned and said, “Excuse me” to the suspect, who then became belligerent and proceeded to hit the victim, grab her hair and slam her to the ground. When the victim attempted to get up, she was again knocked down and struck repeatedly by the suspect until a friend intervened.
The victim did sustain visible injuries.
A customer service employee reported that the suspect had done the same thing several days earlier.
The suspect is described as a white female, heavy set, frizzy brown hair, approximately 5-foot 4-inches tall, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with Sinclair Community College printed on it, and sweat pants. She was described as being between 40 and 50 years old.
