Three people injured at Kruckeberg Rd. crash

GREENVILLE – Three people were injured Monday night after Greenville man drove his car into the path of another.

On November 16 at 6:05 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of US Route 127 and Kruckeberg Road in reference to the accident.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Honda Civic, driven by Alexander Fugate, 33, of Greenville, was traveling westbound on Kruckeberg Road when it drove into the path of a 2007 Dodge Caliber, driven by Laura Turner, 47 of Versailles, which was southbound on U.S. Route 127. Fugate’s car struck Turner’s, causing both vehicles to strike a stop sign at the intersection.

Fugate, Laura Turner and a passenger in the Dodge Caliber, Ronald Turner, 47, of Versailles, were all transported to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Rescue. Laura and Ronald Turner were treated and released. Fugate was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
