Aktion Club to induct new slate of officers

DARKE COUNTY — New Aktion Club officers will be inducted during the club’s Oct. 23 meeting, which will be held at the Ansonia Methodist Church.

The meeting also will be a year-end review and celebration of the club’s accomplishments for the 2018-2019 year.

Aktion Club members are currently selling Mrs. Wick’s Pies. Pies will be delivered frozen and available for pick-up at Darke DD at 5844 Jaysville St. Johns Road, Greenville, on Nov. 15 — just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Pies include pumpkin, $5.25; sugar cream, $5.25; and pecan, $5.75.

The deadline for the club’s pie sale is Friday, Oct. 18.

Pies may be ordered from any Aktion Club member, or by contacting Cheryl Pressly at [email protected] or 459-4627 or Sue Huston at [email protected] or 459-4629

Aktion Club members work hard year-round to raise money for the club. The pie sale is one of two large fundraisers that allow club members to continue with their many service projects. Last year, the club’s 54 members gave back 1,742 hours in service leadership.
