Three injured in three-vehicle crash

GREENVILLE – At least three people were transported for injuries Saturday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash on US Route 127.

At approximately 4:21 p.m., emergency personnel from Ansonia Rescue, and Greenville Township Fire Department responded along with Deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to U.S. Route 127 and Villa Court Road in reference to a three-vehicle crash with injuries.

According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation into the incident has revealed a Tan 1999 Toyota Avalon driven by, Martin Hubbard, (62), of Hamilton, Ohio, was traveling south on U.S. Route 127. Hubbard struck a White 2014 Mazda CX-5 driven by, Ryan Dilts, (43), of Springfield, Ohio, in the rear, causing Dilts’ vehicle to strike a Black 2019 Jeep Latitude driven by, Christina Stevens, (33), of Greenville, Ohio, in the rear. Stevens was slowed in traffic to make a right hand turn onto Villa Court at the time of the accident.

Dilts, a female passenger, and a juvenile passenger were transported to Wayne Hospital by Ansonia Rescue. Hubbard and Stevens were treated and released at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Department.
