Upcoming CBC blood drives

VERSAILLES — Make it your New Year’s resolution to donate at the St. Paul Lutheran Church community blood drive Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 13495 Greenville-St. Marys Road, Versailles. All registered donors get free testing for COVID-19 antibodies, the “Holiday Hero” face mask, and the long-sleeve “Hometown Hero – Give Local, Save Local” t-shirt. Capital University Dean’s List

BEXLEY, OH — Brody Hyre, of Versailles, was named to the Dean’s List at Capital University for the spring 2020 semester. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, full-time, degree-seeking students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.69.

Maher volunteers for community clean-up

ALLIANCE, OH — The COVID-19 pandemic made traditional volunteering through the University of Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement undoubtedly difficult. Yet, 196 individuals participated in at least one of seven unique community service initiatives during the University’s fall 2020 semester. Hayley Maher of Greenville, OH volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity.

Darke County Parks announcements

GREENVILLE — The Darke County Park District Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at 4 p.m. Attendance will be limited to 10 people at a time. Face masks are required. To be added to the agenda to speak or to make comments please e mail [email protected] before Dec. 22 at noon. This meeting is a work session to close out the fiscal year end 2020 and approve the appropriations budget for 2021.
