Timmerman recognized as Top 20 Under 20

VERSAILLES — Versailles junior Cory Timmerman was recognized as a Top 20 Under 20 individual by Tamala Marley, Workforce Specialist with Darke County Economic Development on May 28. Cory was presented with a glass engraved plaque and certificates. Cory works for Classic Carriers where his boss and shop manager Wes Subler nominated him. Top 20 Under 20 is designed to recognize students that are under 20 years of age that are gaining technical skills, and making a major contribution at their place of employment. It’s sponsored by Hometown Opportunity and Darke County Economic Foundation and is designed for students from Darke, Mercer and Auglaize counties.

Cory is the son of Gary and Barb Timmerman. Cory participates in the Versailles High School Capstone Program through the Versailles Agriculture Education Program. Cory’s employment at Classic Carriers also serves as one of his Supervised Agricultural Experience Projects (SAE) and Cory earned his State FFA Degree in May of 2021. In addition to Cory being recognized, Dena Wuebker one of Versailles High School Ag Ed Instructors was also recognized by Tamala Marley Workforce Specialist with Darke County Economic Development for her efforts in building relationships and providing employers with student employees.
