July 15

-1:41 p.m.: animal complaint. A misdemeanor citation was prepared to be served to Jeremy Kautz for an unrestrained dog.

July 16

-8:51 a.m.: theft/fraud. Darke County Community Action Coalition reported someone falsified documents to obtain $10,400 in monetary assistance from the Darke County Metropolitan Housing Authority for rent.

July 18

-11:40 a.m.: criminal damaging. Robert Cates was cited for criminal damaging for puncturing a basketball during a domestic dispute.

-5:20 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Dallas Turner was cited for disorderly conduct and transported to Wayne HealthCare for evaluation after being found passed out on a lawn in the 300 block of East Fifth Street. He reportedly entered the residence earlier and was being belligerent to the resident, who did not know him.

-6:48 p.m.: theft. Alicia Jett, of Gettysburg, was cited for theft after a report of shoplifting from Walmart.

July 21

-6:20 p.m.: vandalism. A resident in the 700 block of East Fourth Street reported two windows damaged by apparent shots from a BB gun.

July 22

-9:43 p.m.: warrant. Lori Perkins was arrested on a active warrant for animal cruelty. She was incarcerated with a $1,525 bond.

July 24

-1:33 a.m.: trespass. Dallas Turner was cited for criminal trespass after refusing to leave Wayne HealthCare upon release. He was transported to Darke County jail and held on $275 bond.

Accident

-Carolyn S. Bowman, 47, of Greenville, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign after going through a stop on Grant and East Fifth and striking the eastbound vehicle driven by Kevin R. Denlinger, 57, of Hollansburg, July 18 at 12:54 p.m. The 2010 Honda Accord of Bowman had moderate damage, and the 2008 Ford E-450, driven by Denlinger and owned by the City of Greenville, had minor damage. Bowman went to Wayne HealthCare with possible injuries.

-James M. Head, 37, of Greenville, was cited for an assured clear distance violation and FRA (Financial Responsibility Act) suspension after striking two parked vehicles July 23 at 4:05 a.m. in the 900 block of Gray Avenue. His 1999 GMC Jimmy was heavily damaged, as was the parked 2013 Volkswagen Passat, owned by Virgil O’Donnell. The parked 2003 Ford Ranger owned by Rick Bell had minor damage.
