Man charged with murder of 2 year old

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s and the Lynn Police departments are investigating the death of two-year-old child.

On March 15, at approximately 07:37 a.m., Randolph County dispatch received a call from 9415 S 300 W, Lynn, Indiana, in reference to a two-year-old child that was not breathing. Responding units included officers from Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and Lynn Police Department as well as first responders from Lynn Fire Department and Randolph County Emergency Medical Services.

A short time after arrival, the child was found to be deceased and Randolph County coroner Tim Crawford was called to the scene as well as investigators from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department who were also assisted by Indiana State Police. During the death investigation, it was found that the child died as a result of internal injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

On March 20, Joshua Ray Null, 22, of the same address, was arrested and charged with murder. Murder in Indiana can be punished by the death penalty, life imprisonment, without the possibility of parole, or between 45 and 65 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. There is no bond for murder.
