June 9

-10:08 a.m.: theft. Employee Nicole Niswonger was cited for theft from Walmart. She reported taking approximately $600 worth of merchandise.

June 14

-8:44 a.m.: burglary. A home in the 700 block of East Third Street was burglarized while the resident was on vacation. Damage was caused to the back door, and an Xbox and games were taken.

-6:24 p.m.: theft. An adult male was observed on surveillance video after theft of alcoholic beverages was reported at Eikenberry’s IGA.

-7:42 p.m.: theft. Joshua Gillispie was cited for criminal trespass and theft at Walmart.

-9:46 p.m.: theft. License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle parked behind a residence in the 200 block of Anderson Avenue.

June 15

-8:39 a.m.: theft. A trailer and three riding mowers were reported stolen from Koenig Equipment. Evidence also showed a failed attempt to steal a Koenig truck with a trailer and four more mowers.

-10:04 a.m.: theft. Jeffery Royster was cited for theft for shoplifting from CVS.

-4:11 p.m.: fugitive. Blake Hilderbrand was arrested on an outstanding warrant at Darke County Recovery Services. He was found with pills in his pocket, so he also was charged with possession of drugs.

-10:28 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Jeremy Magoto was cited for disorderly conduct. He was transported to Darke County jail but was refused for lack of space, then Mercer County jail but was refused for lack of medical clearance because he was bleeding. He was then returned home.
