Staff report

COLUMBUS – The Ohio PTA will hold an online book fair from Nov. 27 to Dec. 11. The book fair can be accessed at: http://ohio-pta.childrensbookstore.com.

The Ohio PTA will earn 30 percent of every sale. Books will ship directly to customers. There are more than 200,000 juvenile titles available. Shoppers can select from a range of shipping options to ensure books arrive in time for the holidays.

“We’re thrilled to carry out this innovative fundraiser for Ohio students,” said Sheila Ragland, president of the Ohio PTA. “We invite Ohioans to do their holiday book shopping through the book fair. Every purchase made will be a gift to Ohio students.”

Money raised will benefit the Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship Fund. Established in 1947, the fund annually grants $500 scholarships to students enrolled in college/university and technical programs.

“We thank all who work so hard to help our students achieve their dreams, and we hope this online book fair can be a tool to assist our students complete college/university and technical programs,” Ragland said.

The Ohio PTA, a 114-year-old branch of the National PTA, is composed of nearly 88,000 members. PTA volunteers throughout Ohio work to ensure every child, regardless of socioeconomic circumstance, receives a quality education. For more information about the Ohio PTA, visit www.ohiopta.org.
