July 4 – Happy Fourth of July. Celebrate Independence Day. Fly the Flag! Have fun! Be safe!

July 6 – The Greenville High School (GHS) 1953 class luncheon will be held at the M&M Diner at the Palace at 11 a.m.

July 7 – The GHS Class of 1949 meet at the Fairlawn at 11:30 a.m. for their monthly luncheon.

July 8 – The GHS Class of 1950 meet at 9 a.m. for their monthly breakfast. Plans are made for our 65th class reunion on August 22. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

July 9 – The GHS Class of 1951 monthly luncheon will be held at the Asian Buffet at noon.

July 10 – First Friday Lunch on the lawn at the Library from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The lunch is provided by D’ Alessios. Cost is $7. Music by Hailey and Heather Harshbarger. Enjoy lunch in the shade with friends.

Also First Friday will have Theater on Third Street. The movie is free. Bring a chair or blanket. Movie begins at dusk. Stores are open late 6 to 9 p.m.

July 12- The Food Truck Rally – Eat on the street, a different kind of treat. Hours are from 4:30 – 8 p.m., 120 W. Third Street parking lot.

July 17 – The Darke County Center for the Arts (DCCA) Foundation will meet at the Turtle Creek Golf Course at 6:30 p.m. This is always a fun event so plan to attend the Barbeque & Blues. Tickets are $10. Please call DCCA at 937-547-0908 for more information.

July 23 – The GHS Class of 1955 meet at noon at Turtle Creek for their monthly luncheon. They’re also making plans for their August reunion at the Hills of Judea Aug. 22.

July-23 – Annie Oakley Sidewalk Sales.

July 24 – Annie Oakley Sidewalk Sales.

July 25 – Annie Oakley Parade downtown at 10 a.m.

July 25 – Don’t forget the Farmers Market at the Courthouse today from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Also the Annual Gathering at the Garst Museum from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

July 26 – Annual Gathering at the Garst museum today from 11 a.m.- 4 pm.

Many vendors, food, artists, antiques, garden ideas and music.

This year’s theme, Native American, peace and friendship gathering. Parking available. Always a fun weekend.

July 27 – The Korean War ended on this date in 1953.

Other Items – KitchenAid free cooking classes Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Check with KitchenAid on days and time as they have their huge sidewalk sale Annie Oakley Weekend.

The City Park Concerts will also be starting in July. Check the Advocate for upcoming dates and time. They usually begin on the 4th of July.
