It’s Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is a day that is set aside to give thanks to the Lord of the harvest!

I do believe that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite ‘holidays.’ Ya wanna know why?

Because the media and retailers just can’t seem to commercialize this special day! Have you noticed in recent years all the hype and advertising jumps right from ‘Trick or Treat’ to Christmas … completely ignoring Thanksgiving.

Even the word ‘Thanksgiving’ can’t be commercialized … ‘THANKS – GIVING”! So, now we have commercials promoting ‘Turkey Day.’ How tragic!!

I think if we’re not careful we will allow our culture to slowly erase this day of giving thanks to the ONE who has blessed us so abundantly.

May every church … every home … and every heart pause at Thanksgiving and spend some quality time in giving thanks to our Lord and Savior. He is worthy!
