GREENVILLE – The Greenville eighth grade girls basketball team won two more games this past week.

In doing so, the Wave have a current five-game winning streak and improve to 8-5 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference.

The Wave defeated Wayne 31-16. Natea Davidson led Greenville in scoring with 10 points.

They Wave also defeated Vandalia-Butler 37-30, which avenged a loss to the Aviators earlier in the year. Morgan Gilbert scored 10 while Makayla Miller, Davidson and Haleigh Mayo added six each.

The Wave entered the last quarter down three but went on an 8-0 run with a tough man-to-man full-court press and half-court trap. They also nailed nine free throws as Butler had to repeatedly foul during the Waves delay offense.
