VERSAILLES – The 2015 Versailles Tigers football team recently earned academic all-Ohio honors.

This is recognition given by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association for student-athletes who excel in the classroom while playing football.

To earn this award, the 22 highest GPAs of players earning a varsity letter are averaged. This average is then compared to all other schools in the state of Ohio.

The Tigers had an average GPA of 3.74, which earned them the 24th highest spot. There are 716 schools in Ohio that have football.

Collin Peters also received recognition as an individual for academic all-Ohio. Players must be of senior standing, earn all-conference or all-district and have a GPA higher than 3.60.
