Tri-Village girls basketball team earns No. 1 seed in OHSAA tournament

DARKE COUNTY – Tri-Village earned a No. 1 seed in the Ohio High School Athletic Association girls basketball sectional tournament.

Tri-Village (18-1) is the top seeded team in the Division IV Brookville sectional. The Lady Patriots will start tournament play against 13th seeded Catholic Central (0-18) at 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at Brookville.

Bradford and Franklin Monroe also are in the Division IV Brookville sectional with Tri-Village.

Bradford (7-12) is the seventh seed in the Brookville sectional and will play third seeded Covington (13-7) at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in Brookville.

Franklin Monroe (2-17) is the ninth seed in the Brookville sectional and will play sixth seeded Newton (13-7) at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in Brookville.

Ansonia is the fourth seeded in the Division IV Sidney sectional while Mississinawa Valley is seeded 12th.

Ansonia (11-9) will play sixth seeded Botkins (9-11) at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Sidney.

Mississinawa Valley (4-15) received a first-round bye and will play the winner of top seeded Fort Loramie (14-4) and 11th seeded Riverside (6-13) at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 in Sidney.

Versailles (14-6) is the third seed and Arcanum (12-9) is the seventh seed in the Division III Dayton sectionals.

Versailles will play 16th seeded National Trail (5-16) at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at Franklin Monroe.

Arcanum received a first-round bye and will play the winner of fourth seeded Northwestern (14-5) and 15th seeded Dixie (6-13) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Franklin Monroe.

Greenville (2-18) received a first-round bye in the Division II Tecumseh sectional. The 12th seeded Lady Wave will play the winner of top seeded Tippecanoe (15-4) and 13th seeded Greenon (2-19) at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at Tecumseh.
