DARKE COUNTY – Registration for Darke County Soccer Association 2016 youth spring soccer is open through March 12.
A player/parent meeting will be held at 10 a.m. March 12 at the Greenville High School gym. A coaches meeting will follow at 11 a.m. at the high school gym.
Training will begin on March 22 and games begin April 9.
The Little Dribblers division will be open to boys and girls ages 3 to 5. This division will concentrate on the fundamentals of soccer including passing, trapping and dribbling. Teams will train on Tuesdays and Saturdays for four weeks then train only on Tuesdays with games on the final four Saturdays. Teams will be able to finish each training session with a short scrimmage. The cost is $20.
The Future Stars division is open to 6 to 8 year old boys and girls. This division continues with the focus on fundamentals but incorporates game play experience. Teams will train on Thursdays and Saturdays for two weeks, and games begin on April 9. Teams will continue to practice on Thursdays. Teams will be scheduled for seven games. The cost is $30.
The Juniors division is open to 9 to 11 year olds. This division continues with the focus on fundamentals but incorporates game play experience. Teams will train on Tuesdays and Saturdays for two weeks, and games begin on April 9. Teams will continue to practice on Tuesdays. Teams will be scheduled for seven games. The cost is $30.
The Seniors division is open to boys and girls ages 12 to 14. This division continues with the focus on fundamentals but incorporates game play experience. Teams will train on Thursdays and Saturdays for two weeks, and games begin on April 9. Teams will continue to practice on Thursdays. Teams will be scheduled for seven games. The cost is $30.
In-person registration is from 8:30-10 a.m. March 12 at the Greenville High School gym. Registration can be mailed to Darke County Soccer Association, PO Box 1144, Greenville, OH 45331 or dropped off at Greenville National Bank, 114 W. Fourth Street, Greenville.
