Beavercreek sweeps the Greenville boys tennis team

BEAVERCREEK – The Greenville boys tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday, falling 5-0 to Beavercreek.

In first singles Beavercreek’s Brandon Chong beat Noah Haupt 6-2, 6-1. In the second singles match Austin Chong beat Greenville’s Craig Mangas 6-3. 6-4. Greenville’s Quintin Muhlenkamp lost the third singles match to Ziyi Zuo 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.

In first doubles Beavercreek’s Nicando Ruderick and Hayden Clark beat Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis 7-5, 6-3. In second doubles Daniel Rodriguez and Curtis Guthrie beat the Wave’s Austin Grote and Josh Smith 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Greenville fell to 1-1 with the loss while Beavercreek improved to 1-0. The Green Wave will play host to Chaminade Julienne at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
