ARCANUM – Arcanum’s Jordan Dubbs threw a no-hitter as the Trojans beat Ansonia 16-0 in a five-inning run rule on Monday.

Arcanum scored two runs in the first inning, five in the second, three in the third and six in the fourth while shutting out Ansonia in the Cross County Conference game.

Arcanum had 10 hits and two errors, and Ansonia had no hits and four errors.

Dubbs struck out three and walked one in a complete game effort to earn the win. Dane Wentworth was charged with the loss for Ansonia.

Dubbs also led the Arcanum offense as he went 2-for-3. Austin Baker was 1-for-2 with two RBIs while Conner Pohl was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Arcanum improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the CCC with the win. Ansonia fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the CCC.
