NEW MADISON – The Tri-Village baseball team suffered its first conference loss of the season on Wednesday, losing 7-0 to Tri-County North.
North scored two runs in the second inning, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and two in the seventh while shutting out Tri-Village.
Tri-Village had four hits and five errors in the game. Tri-County North had nine hits and one error.
Trey Frech, Tanner Maples, Mason Sullenbarger and Luke Wheeler each had a hit for the Patriots in the game.
Jordan Buckley pitched six innings for Tri-Village and allowed three earned runs and two unearned runs on six hits and five strikeouts. Gage Hileman allowed two earned runs in relief.
Tri-Village is now 2-5 overall and 2-1 in the Cross County Conference.
