YELLOW SPRINGS – The Tri-Village softball team run ruled Yellow Springs 23-1 in five innings on Monday.
Tri-Village scored seven runs in the first inning, one in the second, five in the third, seven in the fourth and three in the fifth while holding Yellow Springs to a single run in the fourth.
Tri-Village had 15 hits and two errors in the game. Yellow Springs had six hits and seven errors.
Bree Wilson pitched the complete game for Tri-Village. She allowed one unearned run on six hits, no walks and two strikeouts to earn the win.
Offensively for the Lady Patriots Breeann Lipps was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two walks, a stolen base, three RBIs and three runs scored. Shelby Holzapfel was 3-for-5 with a triple, two stolen bases, four RBIs and three runs scored. Shelby Frech was 2-for-4 with a walk, a RBI and two runs scored. Taylor Bowles went 2-for-3 with a RBI and three runs scored.
Wilson was 2-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored. Peyton Bietry went 1-for-2, scored a run and drove in a run. Breanna Loccke went 1-for-2, walked once, stole two bases and scored three runs. Phoebe Campbell was 1-for-1 with a RBI.
Payge Malott and Kloey Murphey both walked twice and scored three runs. Ally Godown drove in a run.
