ANSONIA – Fort Recovery shut out the Ansonia baseball team 26-0 on Monday.

Fort Recovery scored three runs in the first inning, 11 in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth and six in the fifth.

Fort Recovery had 18 hits and no errors while Ansonia had three hits and seven errors.

Austin Foster went 1-for-1 for Ansonia while Lane Clark and Kane Kimmel both were 1-for-2.

Dane Wentworth pitched two innings and allowed 14 earned runs on 11 hits, four walks, four hit batters and one strikeout. Clark pitched three innings and allowed five earned runs and seven unearned runs on seven hits, four walks and one strikeout.
