Greenville boys tennis team loses to Celina

GREENVILLE – The Greenville boys tennis team lost 4-1 to Celina on Monday.

Greenville’s lone win in the match came at second singles where Craig Manges beat Heath Laux 7-5, 6-0.

In first singles the Green Wave’s Noah Haupt lost 6-4, 6-3 to Garrett Weininger. In the third singles match the Wave’s Quintin Muhlenkamp lost 6-1, 6-4 to Drew Rosengarten.

Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis lost 7-6, 4-6, 7-5 in first doubles to Matt Rable and Jan Raensch. In the second doubles match Austin Grote and Josh Smith lost 7-6, 6-3 to Bryce Langenkamp and Kyle Lochtefeld.

Greenville fell to 5-4 with the loss while Celina improved to 4-2.

Greenville’s junior varsity lost 3-1 to Celina. Max Onkst won at first singles for the Wave’s lone win.
