Mississinawa Valley baseball team run rules Randolph Southern

LYNN, Ind. – The Mississinawa Valley baseball team run ruled Randolph Southern 13-3 in five innings on Monday.

Mississinawa Valley jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and one in the second. After Randolph Southern scored two runs in the bottom of the second, MV added to its lead with three runs in the third inning, four in the fourth and three in the fifth before Randolph Southern scored the game’s final run in the bottom of the fifth.

Mississinawa had 11 hits and one error in the game. Randolph Southern had seven hits and four errors.

Devan Rinderle led the Mississinawa Valley offense by going 4-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and three runs scored. Colyn Nelson went 2-for-3 with a RBI and scored a run. Tyler Jenkinson was 1-for-2 with a RBI, a stolen base and scored three runs. Zach Dirmeyer went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and scored a run.

Trent Collins went 1-for-3, was hit by a pitch and drove in a run. Andrew Johns went 1-for-4 with a RBI and scored a run. Ethan Dirksen was 1-for-3 and scored a run. Kyle Guillozet drove in two runs, and Levi Livingston scored three runs.

Collins pitched the complete game for Mississinawa Valley, allowing two earned runs and one unearned run on seven hits, three walks and seven strikeouts.
