Bradford baseball team run rules Jackson Center

JACKSON CENTER – Mason Justice and Jeff Wolf combined for a one-hitter as the Bradford baseball team run ruled Jackson Center 14-4 in five innings on Friday.

Bradford jumped out to an early lead with two runs in both the first and second innings. After Jackson Center scored a run in the bottom of the third, Bradford exploded for 10 more runs in the top of the fourth. Jackson Center then added one in the bottom half of the inning and two in the fifth.

Bradford had 11 hits and two errors in the game. Jackson Center had one hit and one error.

Justice pitched three innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit, one walk and one strikeout. Wolf pitched two innings and allowed one earned run and two unearned runs on no hits, two walks, two hit batters and one strikeout.

Justice led Bradford offensively, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBIs and a run. Clay Layman was 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run and two RBIs. Walker Branson was 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two runs and two RBIs. Andy Branson was 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs.

Chase Gambill went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Parker Smith walked twice, stole two bases, scored two runs and drove in a run. Wade Gerlach walked twice and scored a run. Bryant Byers walked one and scored two runs. Bryson Canan had a RBI and scored a run.

Bradford improved to 6-7 with the win.
