Greenville softball team moves up to No. 5 in OHSFSCA state poll

COLUMBUS – Greenville moved up two spots to No. 5 in the second Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association statewide poll of the 2016 season.

Greenville passed Granville and Jefferson Area in this week’s Division II state rankings. The Lady Wave remain remained behind Hebron Lakewood, Jonathon Alder, LeGrange Keystone and Oak Harbor.

Greenville is the lone Darke County team to be ranked in the OHSFSCA poll this season. The Lady Wave have been ranked in 73 of the last 74 state polls.

Other teams with Darke County connections ranked in the poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Centerville being ranked No. 7 in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Parkway being ranked No. 3 in Division IV and Cross County Conference member Covington being ranked No. 6 in Division IV.
