Greenville boys tennis team sweeps Wayne

HUBER HEIGHTS – The Greenville boys tennis team recorded its third consecutive sweep on Thursday, defeating Wayne 5-0.

In first singles Greenville’s Noah Haupt beat Adam Vaflor 6-2, 6-1. In the second singles match Craig Manges swept Jordan Fox 6-0, 6-0. In third singles the Wave’s Quintin Muhlenkamp beat Doug Sloan 6-1, 6-0.

In first doubles Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis beat Luke Curtin and Phil Lipsey 6-0, 6-1. In the second doubles match the Wave’s Austin Grote and Josh Smith beat Tabea Klein and Brian Petachi 6-0, 6-1.

Greenville, which has won five of its last six matches with sweeps, improved to 10-5 with Thursday’s sweep while Wayne fell to 1-6.

Greenville’s junior varsity boys tennis team also defeated Wayne 5-0.

Max Onkst, Ryan Clefford and Pablo Badell all won in singles for the Wave. The pairs of Aaron Lobenstein and Bryan Day plus Zach Miller and Jayce Lovett won in doubles.
