Tyler Netzley throws a 1-hitter as Greenville beats Sidney

GREENVILLE – Tyler Netzley threw a one-hitter as Greenville beat Sidney 5-3 in a Greater Western Ohio Conference baseball game on Monday.

Greenville took a 3-0 lead with runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Sidney tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the sixth, but Greenville scored two in the bottom half of the inning to win.

Greenville had 10 hits and three errors in the game. Sidney had one hit and two errors.

Netzley pitched the complete game to earn the win, allowing three unearned runs on one hit, four walks and seven strikeouts.

Jacob Hounshell led the Greenville offense by going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Logan Eldridge was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Brandon Beyke was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.

Grant Minnich was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Kyle Mills went 1-for-3 and drew a walk. Jason Shields went 1-for-2. Tanner Ross was 1-for-3. Landon Eldridge walked, stole a base and scored two runs. Brayden York walked and drove in a run.

Greenville improved to 10-12 overall and 5-4 in the GWOC North with the win. Sidney fell to 6-17 overall and 2-7 in the GWOC North.
