6 Darke County baseball teams earn home games in OHSAA tournament

DARKE COUNTY – Six Darke County baseball teams earned home games in the opening round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament.

Greenville (9-12) is the 15th seed in the Division I Dayton sectional and will play at ninth seeded Troy (12-9) at 5 p.m. May 10.

Both Arcanum (14-3), the fourth seed, and Versailles (13-3), the second seed, are in the Division III Dayton sectional and received a first-round bye.

Versailles will play host to the winner of 17th seeded Stivers (6-6) and 18th seeded Greeneview (3-15) at 5 p.m. May 11.

Arcanum will play host to the winner of ninth seeded Brookville (9-12) and 11th seeded Milton-Union (6-10) at 5 p.m. May 11.

Franklin Monroe (9-6), Mississinawa Valley (7-11) and Tri-Village (11-8) all are in the Division IV Dayton 3 sectional.

Mississinawa Valley is the ninth seed and will play host to 15th seeded Yellow Springs (3-15) at 5 p.m. May 9.

The winner of the Mississinawa Valley vs. Yellow Springs game will advance to play fourth seeded Tri-Village at 5 p.m. May 11 in New Madison.

Franklin Monroe is the fifth seed in the sectional and received a first-round bye. The Jets will play host to the winner of eighth seeded Troy Christian (11-4) and 10th seeded Cedarville (5-8) at 5 p.m. May 11.

Ansonia (1-20) is the 16th seed in the Division IV Dayton 2 sectional and will play at second seeded Southeastern (12-7) at 5 p.m. May 11.

Bradford (8-9) is the sixth seed in the Division IV Dayton 1 sectional and will play host to seventh seeded Twin Valley South (8-9) at 5 p.m. May 11.
