Greenville boys tennis team beats Northmont for Dennis Kiser’s 300th win

GREENVILLE – Greenville boys tennis coach Dennis Kiser recorded his 300th career win as the Green Wave beat Northmont 3-2 on Wednesday.

In first singles Northmont’s Andrew Correll beat Greenville’s Noah Haupt 6-4, 6-1. In second singles Greenville’s Craig Manges beat Justin Dorsten 6-4, 6-4. In third singles the Green Wave’s Quintin Muhlenkamp swept Josh Farinet 6-0, 6-0.

Northmont’s Austin Lucas and Cameron Daniel beat Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis 7-5, 6-7 (6), 1-0 (5) in first doubles. In the second doubles match the Wave’s Austin Grote and Josh Smith beat Nathan Webb and Dan Adams 6-4, 6-1.

Greenville improved to 12-5 with Wednesday’s win while Northmont fell to 5-5.

Greenville’s junior varsity team won 4-1 against Northmont. Max Onkst, Bryan Day and Pablo Badell all won in singles while Ryan Clefford and Jayce Lovett won in doubles.
