COLUMBUS – For a second consecutive week the Greenville softball team fell one spot in the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association state rankings.

In the fourth poll of the season, Greenville fell from No. 6 to No. 7 in Division II. The seventh place ranking matches a season low for the Lady Wave, who also were ranked seventh in the first poll of the season.

Hebron Lakewood, LeGrange Keystone, Jonathon Alder, Oak Harbor and Kenton Ridge all remained ahead of Greenville while Jefferson Area bypassed the Lady Wave, moving from eighth to sixth in the Division II rankings.

Greenville has been ranked in all four of this season’s state polls, ranging from a season best fifth place in week two to this week’s season low of seventh.

Greenville is the lone Darke County team to be ranked in the OHSFSCA poll this season. The Lady Wave have been ranked in 75 of the last 76 state polls.

Other teams with Darke County connections ranked in the poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Northmont being ranked No. 8 in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Parkway being ranked No. 3 in Division IV and Cross County Conference member Covington being ranked No. 5 in Division IV.
