Arcanum to host youth boys basketball mini-camps


ARCANUM – The Arcanum High School boys basketball team will host its Future Stars Basketball Mini-Camps for boys going into the fourth through sixth grades.

The ball handling mini-camp will run from 8 to 10 a.m. on June 20 and 21. The focus of ball handling camp is to teach basic and advanced ball handling concepts and footwork. This includes developing solid ball handling skills with both hands in all game settings.

The shooting mini-camp will run from 8 to 10 a.m. on June 22 and 23. The focus of shooting camp is to break down the fundamental aspects of a tight, clean jump shot. This includes five-part alignment, correct grip, form, footwork and follow through.

The cost is $25 for each mini-camp or $40 for both. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt and individual evaluation.
