Arcanum, Versailles girls golf teams finish in top 5 at the Covington Lady Bucc Invitational

PIQUA – The Arcanum and Versailles girls golf teams finished in the top five as they competed along with Greenville at the Covington Lady Bucc Invitational on Wednesday at Echo Hills Golf Course.

Kenton Ridge won the 14 team scrimmage with a score of 375, St. Henry finished second with a 379 team score, and Fort Loramie was third with a 383. Arcanum finished fourth overall with a 408, Versailles was fifth with a 410, and Greenville finished 14th with a 508.

Versailles’ Lauren Durham was the top Darke County golfer as she shot an 18 hole round of 87 to place fifth individually. Also for the Lady Tigers, Jorja Pothast finished 20th with a 102, Anna Groff placed 22nd with a 103, Morgan Barlage finished 48th with a 118, and Taylor Martin was 66th with a 130.

Chesi Hackworth led Arcanum with a round of 95, placing 10th individually. Also for the Lady Trojans, Madi O’Daniel finished 17th with a 100, Alexis Unger was 21st with a 103, Brenna Loxley placed 33rd with a 110, and Madison Mankin finished 79th with a 149.

Jada Garland led Greenville as she finished 12th overall with an 18 hole round of 96. Also for the Lady Wave, Kelli Kretschmar finished 68th with a 133, Maddy Breig finished 70th with a 138, Jessica Mortensen finished 75th with a 141, Lainey Oswalt was 81st with a 151, and Aubrey Landis finished 83rd with a 157.

Fort Loramie’s Emily Knouff was the medalist as she shot a course record 8-under-par 65. National Trail’s Makenna Jones finished second with an 82, Kenton Ridge’s Kacey Miller finished third with an 86, Tippecanoe’s Taylor Hudson placed fourth with an 86, and Versailles’ Durham was fifth with her 87.
