Versailles boys golf places 7th at New Bremen’s invitational

MINSTER – The Versailles boys golf team placed in the top half of New Bremen’s Cardinal Invitational on Tuesday at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster.

Versailles shot a 365 for the tournament and finished seventh out of 14 teams. Fort Loramie won the invitational with a 330, Wapakoneta was second with a 336, St. Marys finished third with a 341, Delphos St. John’s was fourth with a 344, Minster placed fifth with a 346, and Anna was sixth with a 357. Following Versailles, Lehman Catholic was eighth with a 373, Jackson Center finished ninth with a 373, Russia placed 10th with a 393, Botkins was 11th with a 395, New Bremen finished 12th with a 411, Houston was 13th with a 432, and New Knoxville finished 14th with a 445.

Isaac Ruhenkamp led Versailles with an 85 for the 18 hole round. Also for the Tigers, Nicholas Litten-Stonebraker shot a 91, Alex Groff shot a 92, Preston Platfoot recorded a 97, Austin Pleiman had a 97, and Connor Van Skyock shot a 98.
