Versailles girls golf team places 4th at Miamisburg Invitational

MIAMISBURG – Versailles placed fourth while Greenville finished 13th in the Miamisburg Invitational girls golf tournament on Wednesday at Pipestone Golf Course.

Alter won the 13 team tournament, which featured a nine hole round, with a score of 172. Springboro was second with a 173, and Miamisburg finished third with a 181. Versailles placed fourth with a 186.

Fort Loramie finished fifth with a 189, Kenton Ridge was sixth with a 190, Northmont placed seventh with a 191, Carroll was eighth with a 195, Fairmont finished ninth with a 211, Tippecanoe was 10th with a 211, Troy finished 11th with a 236, Miami East placed 12th with a 236, and Greenville was 13th with a 239.

Lauren Heitkamp and Jorja Pothast both led Versailles with a nine hole round of 45. Also for the Lady Tigers, Lauren Durham shot a 47, Morgan Heitkamp shot a 49, Anna Groff shot a 53, and Taylor Marten shot a 53.

Jada Garland led Greenville with a 57. Also for the Lady Wave, Ashley Karns shot a 58, Maddy Brieg shto a 60, Kourtney Kretschmar shot a 64, Jessica Mortensen shot a 68, and Kelli Kretschmar shot a 77.

Alter’s Claire Nikolai and Fort Loramie’s Emily Knouff shared medalist honors as they both shot a 37.
