Back the Wave commences in Greenville

GREENVILLE – Over the course of the next two weeks Greenville student-athletes will collect donations as part of their Back the Wave event.

Greenville student-athletes in conjunction with the Greenville Athletic Boosters were scheduled to have their annual fundraising event traditionally known as Back the Wave on Aug. 10. But unfortunately due to the weather, the event was cancelled for that night.

This fundraising event still will take place. Over the next two weeks the student-athletes will go around to their designated area of town to collect donations.

Anyone who is missed during this community-wide event but would still like to contribute should mail their $3 donation to Greenville Athletic Boosters c/o “Back The Wave” 100 Green Wave Way Greenville Ohio 45331. Donors should provide a return address so a window decal and schedule can be mailed to their home.

Greenville boosters thanked the coaches and parents for taking time to help coordinate this event and chaperone athletes to their designated area of town. They also thanked the community for the continued support of Greenville athletes.

For more information about the Greenville Athletic Boosters and to learn about upcoming events, visit the Greenville City schools website at http://www.greenville.k12.oh.us/AthleticBoosters.aspx or visit the boosters on Facebook.
