Greenville girls soccer team loses to Valley View in OHSAA tournament

GERMANTOWN – The Greenville girls soccer team lost 10-0 to Valley View in the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament on Tuesday.

Lady Wave goalkeeper Hayley Burns made 22 saves for Greenville in the game.

“It was a tough season as it always is for us, but there was still a lot of growth and improvement,” Greenville coach Jason Arnold said. “We played a little more competitively this year due to a seasoned core of juniors and seniors. There will be a lot of experience leaving with our seniors, but we still have a lot of solid players on our roster to build on next year.”

Greenville will lose Kayla Arnold, Hayley Burns, Lessie Cable, Mickayla Cline, Alexandra Davidson, Genesis Malin, Raven Mote and Brittany Weyrick to graduation.
