Mississinawa Valley, Versailles bowling teams win WOHSBC matches

UNION CITY – The Mississinawa Valley girls, Versailles girls and Versailles boys all won their West Ohio High School Bowling Conference matches on Saturday at Woodcrest Lanes in Union City.

The Versailles boys beat Mississinawa Valley 2,686-2,515. Alex Groff led Versailles with games of 201 and 248, Luke Shellhaas rolled games of 184 and 193, Brody Hyre rolled games of 162 and 172, Brandon Bradley rolled games of 161 and 163, and Aydan Moran rolled a 165.

The Versailles boys improved to 2-1 while the Mississinawa Valley boys fell to 2-1.

The Versailles girls beat Ansonia 2,363-1,702. Morgan Hietkamp led Versailles with games of 188 and 183, Brigette Holsapple rolled games of 145 and 201, Maggie Hedrick rolled games of 159 and 179, Makenzie Berning rolled games of 182 and 151, and Jamee Brown rolled games of 125 and 164.

The Versailles girls improved to 2-1 and the Ansonia girls fell to 0-3.

The Mississinawa Valley girls beat Russia 2,105-2,056. Spencer Warren led Mississinawa Valley with games of 173 and 172. Also for the Lady Hawks, Tiffany Westfall rolled games of 166 and 135, Audree Weimer rolled games of 123 and 150, Payton Reichard rolled games of 130 and 137, and Elizibeth Mangas rolled games of 110 and 105.

The Mississinawa Valley girls improved to 3-0 with the win.

The Ansonia boys lost 2,268-1,580 to New Bremen. Charles Murphy led Ansonia with games of 157 and 154. Also for the Tigers, Sam Rhoades rolled games of 116 and 98, Damien Hampton rolled a 125, Allen Christman rolled a 117, Tyler Dishman rolled a 98, Jedd Rismiller rolled an 89, Tyler Clark rolled a 77, and Jacob Vietor rolled a 76.

The Ansonia boys fell to 0-3 with the loss.

Darke County’s WOHSBC teams will continue their seasons on Saturday at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen. At 9:45 a.m. the Ansonia boys will face Fort Recovery, the Mississinawa Valley boys will face Minster and the Versailles boys will face Coldwater. At 1 p.m. the Ansonia girls will face Fort Loramie, the Mississinawa Valley girls will face Marion Local and the Versailles girls will face Coldwater.
